Interior Design

As a full-service firm, we provide a wide scope of interior design services ranging from schematic design through all phases of design to construction and FF+E installation. Our extensive resources allow us to specify the most up-to-date contract materials and finishes. The Riva Design portfolio includes projects centered around multi-family housing, senior housing, healthcare, and corporate facilities.  

Space Planning

We begin this process with the programming phase. This includes extensive research based on our client’s goals for space allocation, adjacencies, and efficiencies in conjunction with building codes and accessibility requirements. While developing space plans we often include the furniture layout, equipment, and many other design criteria based on the type of project.

3D Renderings

We provide 3D renderings as visual aids to help our clients truly envision their project taking full shape. We respect and understand the investment and it’s our job to maximize the design potential of their project. 

Construction Drawings

Once the space plan is approved, we produce a set of ID construction drawings to include in the permit set. We work closely with the architects, contractors, and engineers to coordinate the overall design including MEPs and lighting for permit submittal. The construction drawings that our team provides are: Floorplan, Furniture Plan, Specification Sheet (to include plumbing specifications, Lighting Specifications, Door and Hardware Specifications) Lighting Plan, Reflected Ceiling Plan, Elevations, Sections and Details, and any further required specialized drawings to convey our overall design intent.

Construction Administration

We are readily available during the construction phase and take pride in having a quick response time to RFI’s. Construction administration involves the resolution of potential conflicts, interpretation, and clarification of the construction drawings. Communication between our client, the contractor, and sub-contractors is extremely important during this phase of the project. We provide crucial guidance during the construction process.

FF+E SPECIFICATION + PROCUREMENT

Our team puts a lot of consideration into the project’s specifications. Specifications should be durable, functional, and meet the sustainability, budgetary, and life safety needs of the project. We often help our clients with the selection of furniture, as well as, purchasing, delivery, staging, and installation for any type of project large or small.
